Man Utd fans FUME at message about the Glazer family and transfers | Football | Sport

Manchester United owners the Glazer family are coming under increasing pressure to get transfers right this summer.

Fans of the Red Devils are despairing at their owners, despite Daniel James arriving from Swansea and Aaron Wan-Bissaka being on the verge of completing a move from Premier League rivals Crystal Palace.

ESPN have now prompted negative comments from United supporters with a tweet on their official account.

It carries a graphic of the Glazers compared to Manchester City’s owners, saying how City’s have pumped £1billion into their club – while United’s have taken £1b out.

And fans have now reacted with fury, calling on the Glazers to leave Old Trafford for the sake of the club.

“#GlazersOut,” said one fan, using the hashtag that has been doing the rounds on social media.

“What have you done! #GlazersOut,” a second said.

“Exactly @ManUtd #GlazersOut #WoodwardOut,” said a third fan.

“Thank you for sharing this! We want asset stripping Parasites gone asap! Club is falling apart on & off,” said a fourth.

A fifth fan chipped in with: “Not good enough. Get the #GlazersOut.

And a sixth said: “Enough is enough #GlazersOut.”

In the Glazers’ defence, however, the United owners have made plenty of money available for transfers in recent years.

The problem is, though, that many of the signings have struggled to sparkle at Old Trafford.

Paul Pogba has never been consistent enough for United ever since touching down from Juventus in 2016.

Romelu Lukaku has blown hot and cold himself during his two years as the club.

Money given to Alexis Sanchez has been misused too, with the Chile international managing just six goals since his arrival in January 2018.

And Angel Di Maria and Radamel Falcao also failed to thrive during their time at the club.

Fans, though, are calling for the Glazers’ head.

And whether they can appease fans by bankrolling some big signings is something only time will tell.
