Neymar ‘closer than ever’
Neymar is closer than ever to returning to Barcelona despite Real Madrid’s interest, journalist Josep Federal has claimed.
“It’s the great illusion. Now everyone wants Neymar,” he said.
“Even many Real Madrid players. Madridistas have already forgiven Neymar and want him despite him wearing the Champions League tattooed on his leg.
“The news is that Barça is closer than ever to sign Ney, and I ask myself several questions: Does Barça Neymar need it? Is it a good idea Coutinho and 100 million for Neymar? Should Madrid get into the auction for ‘Ney’? Should we pay 38 million net? Is it an operation too risky?
“Do you know my opinion about Neymar? If I were president of a club I would not sign him.
“But luckily I am not.”
Neymar makes Real Madrid decision
Neymar is so desperate to leave PSG he is ready to join Real Madrid over Barcelona this summer.
That’s according to the Daily Mail, who claim the PSG star is ready to ‘forgo’ his first choice of a stunning return to the Nou Camp.
PSG are hellbent on getting Neymar off their books and, in a ideal world, would rather sell the Brazilian to any other club other than Barcelona.
But whether the Catalan giants are able to afford the 27-year-old so late in the transfer window is something only time will tell.
Bayern have two Coutinho options
Bayern Munich are determined to sign Philippe Coutinho, who Barcelona are keen to jettison this summer.
And Sport say that the Bundesliga champions have two options when it comes to snapping up the Brazil international, who has struggled during his time at the club.
Bayern may land Coutinho on a two-year loan deal with the option to buy, like they did with Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez back in the summer of 2017.
And they could sign him on loan for a single season before agreeing to pay the full amount of any transfer fee in 12 months’ time.
