Philippe Coutinho agent
Philippe Coutinho’s agent Giuliano Bertolucci has touched down in Barcelona to discuss the Brazilian’s future.
Coutinho, 27, has been linked with a Nou Camp departure having failed to impress during his debut season.
The Brazilian has two potential destinations.
The first is to PSG as part of an exchange deal that would see Neymar return to Barcelona and the second is a loan to Bayern Munich with an option to buy.
Bertolucci, who landed in Barcelona on Wednesday morning, held talks with PSG representatives on Tuesday.
Barcelona have asked Neymar to prove his commitment to a potential return to the Nou Camp.
And ESPN FC claim Barcelona want the Brazilian to show his commitment with a public gesture – perhaps through social media.
Barcelona executives held a meeting in the French capital yesterday to try and negotiate a deal for the Brazilian forward.
No deal was struck – but PSG have informed the Catalan giants that they want Philippe Coutinho and Nelson Semedo plus £110million in cash.
Real Madrid hijack
Real Madrid have made an audacious offer to sabotage Barcelona’s swoop for Neymar.
The PSG forward is desperate to leave the Parc des Princes after just two years, having grown tired with life in Paris.
Neymar’s preference is to return to Barcelona but, with relations between the Catalan giants and PSG strained, a move to Real Madrid cannot be ruled out.
And Sport say that Los Blancos chief Florentino Perez has sensationally offered Vinicius Jr as part of a deal.
If Neymar joins Real Madrid instead of Barcelona, ex-Barca striker Rivaldo believes it will not be a “betrayal”.
“For now, what is clear is the player’s desire to leave PSG,” Rivaldo told Betfair. “With two big Spanish clubs competing for him, he should be even more eager to fly away from Paris.
“If Zinedine Zidane signs Neymar for Real Madrid, I won’t see it as a betrayal.
“Neymar left Barcelona to sign for PSG and now could fly to Madrid, so it’s not the same as if he had left Barca for Madrid.”
Neymar praises Barcelona
Neymar has risked a backlash from PSG fans by once again praising Barcelona’s 6-1 win over the Ligue 1 giants in 2017.
Neymar was part of the Barcelona side who rocked PSG with a stirring 6-1 Champions League victory in 2017.
He lauded the win earlier in the summer but now, speaking to Dazn, has doubled down on his initial comments.
“The most important goal in that match was that of Sergi Roberto,” he said. ”That was the goal that sent us through. It was a goal that will go down in history.
“I’m happy that I provided the assist. His goal was special and sent the Camp Nou wild with delight. That was the most important goal.
“I think in terms of the emotion and excitement of the fans, this was one of the most important goals in Barcelona history.”
