Premier League gossip: Man United star set for exit, Sancho development gives English clubs hope
Although the Premier League transfer window is closed for new arrivals, there are still lots of deals being planned to take players from English clubs by some of Europe’s top sides.
Daniel Sturridge is looking for a new club, while many sides are hoping to offload players who have not been included in their 25-man squads for this season.
Plans are also being made ahead of future windows, with the hunt for new additions seemingly never-ending.
Sanchez seeks Italian escape route
The Manchester United forward’s desire to leave Old Trafford is well known, and the Daily Mirror claim the Chilean has agreed terms with Serie A side Inter Milan.
Reports in Italy say Alexis Sanchez is all set to move to the San Siro, but it is reliant on United.
The Italian club want to secure a loan deal, with an option to buy attached, with the ball seemingly very much in United’s court.
Sancho will leave Dortmund at end of season
It has emerged that England starlet Jadon Sancho will be allowed to leave Borussia Dortmund next summer, according to the Daily Mail.
The news is likely to lead to a scrap between the two Manchester clubs, with the player having been a target for United this summer.
But there is sure to be interest from top sides throughout Europe, with a fee of no less than £100 million expected for the 19-year-old.
Very few sides will be able to afford the talented teenager, with the Premier League likely to be his eventual destination.
Man United will pay Rojo to leave
The Old Trafford club are so desperate to be rid of Argentine defender Marcos Rojo, that they are willing to pay him to leave.
The Daily Mirror reports United have been unable to find a club who will match their £20m asking price, with the player seeming to have priced himself out of a deadline day move to Everton.
Rojo still has two years left on his current United deal, said to be around £130,000 a week.
But, as yet, there have been no sides willing to match his salary.
Sturridge in demand
Former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is now a free agent, and while other high profile out-of-contract strikers like Andy Carroll and Danny Welbeck have found new clubs, Sturridge has not found it so easy.
But it appears that could be set to change, with both French side Monaco and Turkish club Trabzonspor chasing his signature, according to the Daily Express.
The former England striker was banned by the FA, due to breaching betting restrictions, but has now been cleared to resume playing.
Having suffered with injuries for much of his time on Merseyside, he will hope a move to either France or Turkey will be the launchpad to kick-start his career.
