Chelsea news: Jorginho agent reveals when Italy ace wants to leave after Juventus interest | Football | Sport
Jorginho’s agent claims his client wants to stay at Chelsea for another four years at least.
The Italy international joined the Premier League giants last year from Napoli and has played an integral role in midfield.
The 27-year-old is happy in the London team and is not at all keen on leaving any time soon as he has a “mid-to-long-term project” with the club.
Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos points out that the Italian singed a five-year deal and is determined to honour it to the fullest.
Santos told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli: “We have mid-to-long-term project with Chelsea.
“There are five years left on his contract and let’s say he’d like to stay for at least another four years.”
Jorginho has so far made 59 appearances for Chelsea and has scored three goals.
He has formed a strong partnership with star midfielder N’Golo Kante.
The Blues decided to sign the Brazil-born ace after his incredible four-year stint at Napoli under former boss Maurizio Sarri.
Jorginho made 160 appearances for the Partenopei and also won the Coppa Italia in 2014.
The Chelsea ace was so impressive on his debut year in the Premier League that he attracted interest from a number of Serie A teams in the summer.
Two of them were his former club as well as Juventus who are now managed by Sarri.
However, the midfielder stayed put and has played in all of this season’s four Premier League matches for Chelsea.
The Stamford Bridge outfit has been slapped with a season-long transfer ban and therefore can’t afford to lose players like Jorginho.
