Boxing Day fixtures: Liverpool fans set for travel chaos caused by Amazon agreement | Football | Sport

All nine Premier League matches on Boxing Day will be staggered over times from 12.30pm, 3pm, 5.30pm and 8pm.

Last year saw Watford vs Chelsea being the late fixture, although both teams have a relatively short distance.

That can’t be said for Liverpool fans, who now face a 250-mile round trip as the late kick off against Leicester.

Speaking before the announcement, Liverpool fans group Spirit of Shankly, said: “Our biggest concern is that our Boxing Day fixture away at Leicester City could be 8pm — that’s awful — with public transport difficulties, the expense, late returns and beyond.”
